Information required to build a safety file

For Q-Safe to build a safety file for a client, some basic information is required. We need to understand your business and the project you will undertake.

Did the company that requested the safety file provide you with their "Health and safety specification" for the project?

In terms of the Construction Regulations, section 5(1), it is the responsibility of a cliet to issue a health and safety specification AT THE TIME OF TENDER, stating (amongst other things) their requirements in terms of health and safety. e.g. special appointments, specific qualifications of appointed persons, specific order in which the components of the safety file are to be presented. This is our guide – in terms of client requirement – as to how the safety file is set out. If the client has not provided a specification, cover yourself by sending an emial requesting one.
